Senior roles in India have changed.
Leaders today are navigating rapid technological shifts, global volatility, evolving skill demands, and organisational growth — often while remaining publicly composed and privately stretched.
Most people who seek coaching are not underperforming.
They are capable, trusted, and relied upon — and carrying more than is visible.
This work exists to provide a confidential, professional space to think clearly, test decisions, and recalibrate direction without politics, hierarchy, or loss of face — so high-stakes decisions are made with less internal noise.
Who I Work With
Senior executives and corporate leaders
Operating within hierarchies, managing teams, and carrying organizational weight.
Founders and business owners
Building companies, leading growth, and navigating decisions alone
Professionals stepping into greater authority
Taking on expanded responsibility and recalibrating leadership presence.
Expats and globally experienced leaders
Working within Indian organizations and navigating cultural complexity.
Clients typically hold responsibility across teams, families, stakeholders, and markets — with few places to speak openly or slow down their thinking.
How We Work
Most engagements are structured as ongoing executive partnerships, designed to support judgment, decision quality, and clarity over time in complex roles.
Common Reasons Clients Seek Coaching
Leadership isolation
As seniority increases, honest challenge decreases. Decisions are visible, feedback is filtered, and thinking happens alone.
Constant decision load
AI disruption, regulatory change, and market volatility mean leaders are making more decisions, more often, with less certainty.
Single-point accountability
When outcomes, reputation, and consequences converge on one role, hesitation becomes costly and mistakes feel personal.
Maintaining authority under strain
Executives are expected to remain composed and decisive — even when uncertainty is real and bandwidth is limited.
Identity entanglement
When professional success becomes personal identity, options narrow and decisions carry extra psychological weight.
Coaching in this context helps leaders separate signal from noise, make decisions at the right level of depth, and stay steady under pressure rather than reactive under strain.
A Professional Thinking Partnership
This is:
- Not therapy
- Not counselling
- Not mentoring
- Not motivational programmes
It is a confidential, structured coaching relationship focused on improving decision quality, reducing internal friction, strengthening leadership presence, and supporting sustainable performance over time.
Context-Aware and Discreet
Many coaching approaches assume:
This work recognizes:
Flat hierarchies
Hierarchy and accountability
Unlimited personal bandwidth
Cultural and social expectations
Western corporate norms
Family responsibility alongside professional pressure
Operating without psychological safety at senior levels
Sessions are focused, practical, and designed to support clarity without unnecessary introspection.
About Sharon Burnett
Sharon Burnett is an internationally based executive coach working with senior professionals and founders across leadership, decision-making, and professional transition.
Having lived and worked in India for two years, based in Chennai, Sharon held senior internal leadership roles including Global Head of HR and International Business Manager. Through direct experience with Indian leaders and executive teams, she understands the realities of operating within strong hierarchies, rapid organisational growth, and environments where responsibility is high, challenge is limited, and visible uncertainty is rarely tolerated.
That experience sharpened her understanding of authority, pressure, and decision-making at senior levels — particularly where leaders are expected to carry responsibility quietly while balancing professional demands with family and social expectations.
She works with clients across India and internationally via confidential online sessions with a consistent focus on decision quality.
