Alchemy of Mind – Body- Spirit
1: a power or process that changes or transforms something in a mysterious or impressive way
2: an inexplicable or mysterious transmuting
There is this need in certain people to strive to live in the upper realm or a higher consciousness. And that is a wonderful goal, but the cost of this goal is the neglect of the whole trinity. For Christians, this is the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. For some, it is Father, Mother, God; Maiden, Mother, Crone. But it all comes down to Mind, Body, Spirit. I see these in all of the other trinities. Father as the Mind, Son as the Body, and Ghost as the Spirit; and so on.
We rarely ever see one without the other, for they cannot be separated. Our ultimate destiny is to reach a higher-consciousness, our Christ consciousness. Not the Christ that Christians know as Jesus, but the Christ light that emanates from the God within. In order to do so, we must find a balance. A starved mind and body cannot house a healthy spirit.
Striving To Attain Enlightenment At The Peril Of the Physical
If you held your breath for any length of time you most likely would pass out. That is the body’s way of telling you that you need the life giving prana, your vital life giving force.
If you stopped eating, your body would defend itself by again leading to unconsciousness then death. You need nutrition in order to remain vital. There’s that word again…vital.
So if you starve the breath, and you starve the body, the mind has no other alternative than to also shut down. The mind is the control tower of the body. It regulates your breath, your heart, and your organs; all without you even being aware of it.
A Gift from Gaia
The earth is our mother; she provides the sustenance we need in order to live and breathe. She provides the four elements of: earth, air, fire, and water. Life is her gift to us; food is her gift to us.
Have you ever noticed that when you forget to eat, your mind becomes fuzzy? That is your body signaling you to stop and nourish it. And when your mind becomes fuzzy, unhealthy thoughts have a way of entering. Once those negative thoughts enter, the light of our spirit sinks into the background and gives way to the dark. A vicious circle begins to take hold. The mind begins to work overtime and this can then create other health problems from over-eating, under-eating, or even lack of sleep. Listen to your body for it is the temporary home of your Spirit.
Your Spirit is that unseen essence of yourself that is the TRUE commander of the body and the mind. However the Spirit does not die; you cannot kill it. It lives on forever. Although you cannot kill your Spirit, you can starve it.
As a Tarot reader, the Devil card is indicative of any form of addiction. It can be an addiction to food, drugs, alcohol, sex, or any number of other addictions that take away from our overall well-being. An addiction also weakens the Spirit – it sends it into the background while the addiction takes control. There is no spiritual virtue in a pattern of self-destruction.
In the Christian Bible, John 6:35, it reads;
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.”
Now I am by no means in the Christian camp, but the meaning of this goes far beyond the seen, into my world of metaphysics. This is the light that each and everyone of us has by right, regardless of race, belief, sex, or nationality. On the Tree of Life, the central Sephirah is Tiphereth. It is the heart of the human where the Christ-like energy resides. In order to reach Malkuth, the 10th Sephirah, or the realm of Earth, the remaining Sephiroth must pass through Tiphereth; hence, I am the bread of life, he who comes to me will not hunger…. Tiphereth, the sun (son) is the seat of the soul.
This is the alchemy; this is the uniting of the trinity into the one true essence of who you are. Feed your body…feed your mind. Allow your Spirit to flourish.
